Barn wedding venue Bassmead Manor – Claire & Malcolm
Barn wedding venue Bassmead Manor – by Jinjabird. The beautiful Bassmead Manor was the stunning setting for the wedding of Claire and Malcolm last Friday. I have watched Grooms putting on buttonholes hundreds of times and I dont think that one of them was sure how they went. Just as well then that Malcolm’s mum was on hand to help. The other thing that no one seems to know how to do is to tie a cravat, these are guaranteed to always cause maximum confusion. Whilst all this was going on Claire and her girls were having the finishing touches applied. When all the guests had arrived and were seated in the Rickety Barn it was time for the bride and her bridesmaids to make their entrance. Malcolm looked very happy as he watched them all come down the aisle led by the flower girl. During the ceremony one of Malcolm’s friends gave a reading. I loved the look of joy on Claire’s face as she gave Malcolm a big hug as soon as they were officially man and wife. Once the service had finished it was a quick dash across to the bar to avoid the rain and enjoy the drinks reception. This is the time when emotions are running high as everyone wants to come and congratulate the Bride and Groom especially all the ladies who want to see the Bride up close. Fortunately the rain did not last long and Claire and Malcolm were able to take a stroll outside before it was time for the wedding breakfast. The food as always at Bassmead was amazing but this time each table had its own roast and the guests could carve and serve like they would at Sunday Lunch. I like this idea. A saxophonist who played during the day also ran the disco in the evening and played along to the songs. This seemed to work go down really well with the guests.
