Christmas Weddings at Bassmead Manor Barns – Emma & Emma
Christmas weddings at Bassmead Manor Barns – by Jinjabird. Emma and Emma had their Christmas wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns on Saturday. One bride got ready in Dove cottage and the other in the boudoir both helped by their sisters. They had decided to walk down the aisle together with the help of Emma’s dad who looked very nervous. The short journey from the boudoir across to the Old Barn was hampered by the rain that had been pouring down all day, but thanks to the help of the girls at Bassmead and their umbrellas everything was OK. It was the first Gay wedding I had photographed at Bassmead Manor Barns and one of the loveliest ceremonies I had attended there. Upon exiting the Barn it was another quick dash under the umbrellas across the courtyard to the New Barn for drinks and congratulations all round. Emma and Emma had arranged for some wedding games which went down well with their guests especially the Horse Sweepstakes. Emma’s dad gave a very witty speech followed by a few words from Emma. The two brides made a beautiful sight dancing together for their first dance. The music in the evening was from an excellent wedding band that I had seen earlier in the year and after that it was the turn of one of the best wedding discos I have heard. Both of these were certainly not wasted because the Emma’s had some of the liveliest weddings guests I have seen who just would not stop dancing.
