Spring weddings Bassmead Manor Barns – Amy & David
Spring weddings Bassmead Manor Barns – by Jinjabird. It was really great to photograph the spring wedding of Amy and David at Bassmead Manor Barns recently. I spent the morning with Amy who was busy getting ready for the arrival of David and his Ushers. The ceremony took place in the old Rickety Barn with the reception following on in the New Barn. I have never seen a more emotional Groom or Father of the Bride before. When Amy came down the aisle both were overwhelmed by the occasion and welled up. After the exchange of vowels Amy’s dad held his arms high with joy and could not resist kissing the newly weds there and then. It was a beautiful day and after the ceremony everyone enjoyed a drinks reception in the courtyard whilst Amy and David took a few moments to explore the grounds. Then it was into dinner served as always in the New Barn with views out onto the courtyard and garden area. During dinner some of the children wandered out to play but were quickly called back when it was time for the speeches. After dinner a relaxing time was had by all in preparation for the evening party. As Amy and David are from London most of the guests were already present with just a few friends arriving to join them for the evening. The party was kicked off by the cake cutting. I loved their wedding cake with all the detailing of flowing chocolate – and it tasted amazing! Then followed shortly after by the first dance and evening disco. I always enjoy things more when people dance and Amy and David’s wedding involved plenty of this. It was a pleasure to part of such a fun filled day.
