Getting married Bassmead Manor – Helen & Steve
Getting married Bassmead Manor – by Jinjabird. I was at Bassmead Manor last week photographing the wedding of Helen and Steve. It was a fine day with plenty of sunshine and a warm breeze. Helen and Steve are both Teachers and had chosen to get married in the half term holidays. I like weekday weddings and can’t understand why more couples don’t do this. The savings are huge, its a no brainier. If you are important enough to the people that you invite then they will come no matter what day you choose. On this day there were well over a hundred guests! I loved the suits that the ushers wore and Steve’s Tuxedo, you cant get better than that. Helen and Steve’s daughters were flower girls and looked so exited when getting ready to walk down the aisle. I loved the expression on Helen’s grandmothers face when she saw her granddaughter in her wedding dress for the first time. During the ceremony one of the flower girls read some touching lines followed by another reading by a friend. Steve had a great sense of humor and there was plenty of larking around. After the ceremony everybody made their way out of the Old Barn for confetti, drinks and canapes in the courtyard. As it was such a nice day Helen and Steve spent a short while alone walking around the venue and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Then it was time for their wedding breakfast and as always some amazing food. Steve’s speech was very funny. I guess being a Teacher having a sense of humor is essential. In the evening there was a photo booth which was very popular and some great music from the DJ. It helps if your guests like to party and Helen and Steve’s friends were a real party crowd and a pleasure to spend the day with. Oh yes and I forgot to mention, I thought Helen was a stunning bride and looked amazing throughout the whole day.
