Barn weddings Cambridgeshire – Victoria & Richard
Barn weddings Cambridgeshire – by Jinjabird. Bassmead Manor Barns in Cambridgeshire is an ideal venue to host a wedding. I am very lucky that I get to photograph there a lot. I have had the pleasure of photographing nearly 50 weddings at this fantastic venue and always enjoy working there. I was therefore very pleased when Victoria and Richard asked me to photograph their wedding at Bassmead back in September. I think September is one of my favorite months of the year. The weather is usually more settled and it is still warm with the days fairly long. I thought that Victoria looked stunning with her long hair and beautiful dress and I loved the flowers in the bridesmaids hair. The pageboy was very happy as he led the way down the aisle holding the wedding rings. Then it was Richard’s turn to smile when he saw Victoria approaching on her fathers arm. It was very sweet watching the pageboy hand the rings over during the ceremony. When the service had finished Victoria and Richard made their way outside to a shower of confetti and then with their drinks in hand took a stroll in the garden. The autumn colours were just appearing with the trees starting to turn yellow and gold. Richard’s two best men made a big thing about him having ginger hair during their speech. They compared him to Basil Brush and presented him with a cuddly toy. The wedding cake was made of cheese and had started to melt by the time it was cut. I really thought that it was going to fall over but it never did. Then in the evening yet more friends arrived and helped the newly weds party the day away.
