Snowy wedding Bassmead Manor – Julia & Andy
Snowy wedding Bassmead Manor – by Jinjabird. My first wedding of the year was on a crisp snowy day at Bassmead Manor. Julia and Andy had not expected snow in early spring but made the most of the beautiful conditions. It seems strange but in nearly 12 years and 400 hundred weddings it was only the second time that I had experienced snow on a wedding day. Although it was cold the novelty of the conditions meant that most or the guests at some point during the day enjoyed being outside. I live only a few miles from Bassmead but the roads were very bad. The evening before when the snow was still falling and the road outside my house was impassable I was starting to get worried as to whether or not i would be able to get there. Despite my concerns everyone managed to turn up, even the band, and we all had a fantastic day. Extra care had to be taken during the confetti as some areas outside were very slippery. But as far as i know nobody fell over, at least not from the snow. As it got dark the garden was lit up with coloured lights which made it look extra special. At the end of the evening Julia and Andy ventured outside, and despite a light falling of snow had one last picture on the bridge.
