Wedding photography Peterborough – Sian and Glenn
Wedding photography Peterborough – by Jinjabird. Last week I had an amazing time photographing the wedding of Sian and Glenn in the village of Manea near Peterborough. I have never seen so many beautiful things and so much attention to detail at a wedding before. Sian did an incredible job. The wedding was held on her parents farm with the ceremony in a barn and the reception in a marquee. But everywhere you looked Sian had added a decoration or two. Even the chickens had dicky bows on. I really was blown away. I cant imagine how long it took to set everything up. Sian also had the largest number of bridesmaids I have ever seen – ten! and they were all beautifully dressed. There was a small village of yurts on site for the wedding guests to stay. It was like a mini wedding festival. Sian’s dad had arranged for her to be transported to the ceremony on a restored vintage tractor, much to the delight of everyone who was waiting for her to arrive. The humanist ceremony took place in a lavishly decorated barn with the guests sitting on hay bails. Then it was over to the marquee. Sian had placed dozens of vintage cameras on the tables for the guests to use. I thought that it was a fabulous idea. She only had to get the films processed and printed and she would have many memories for the future. Not like the idiotic obsession with taking pictures with phone cameras – never to be archived or seen again. I have a real loathing with using phone cameras as very little worth keeping will get preserved for future generations. If you are reading this and it sounds familiar then for God’s sake buy a proper camera. After some great speeches and the cake cutting Sian and Glenn had arranged a large confetti cannon to mark the start of the evenings fun. Then it was party party party.
