Wedding photographer Manor Farm Bourn – Jodie & Josh
Wedding photographer Manor Farm Bourn – by Jinjabird. I recently had the pleasure of spending the day photographing the wedding of Jodie and Josh who got married in the village of Bourn in Cambridgeshire. They had decided to have the wedding ceremony in the local Church of St Helena & St Mary and then have the wedding reception at Manor Farm just down the road. Jodie got ready with her bridesmaids at her parents house which was also in the village. The church ceremony was very special with lots of singing and music provided by a live band. Afterwards everyone walked the short distance down the road to Manor Farm where the lavishly decorated barn was waiting for the wedding reception to begin. Jodie had lovely taste and had made all the beautiful decorations herself. Josh’s grandfather had been the local milkman in the village and they used his original horse drawn milk float as their wedding transport between the Church and reception. Along the way we stopped for a few minutes to take some photos before carrying on to Manor Farm. They had arranged for a hog-roast buffet, the food being provided by some of the guests. It was one of the best spreads I have ever seen at a wedding with some amazing looking cakes and puddings. The barn was a truly unique venue and had a charm and character unmatched by a lot of the more conventional settings I photograph in. After the speeches and cake cutting Jodie and Josh had chosen a ceilih band to provide the music and evening entertainment. I cant remember the last time I saw so many people dance for so long. Then at the end of the evening they made their exit to find their car had been sealed up in plastic wrap. What a great day i had.
