Wedding photographer Perch Inn Oxford – Rachael & Alex
Wedding photographer Perch Inn Oxford – by Jinjabird. It was a beautiful sunny day when Rachael and Alex got married at Lincoln College and the Perch Inn Oxford. I had photographed a wedding at the College just a couple of months earlier and I was very much looking forward to returning. I met up with Rachael first thing. She got ready nearby with her family and it was only a short walk into town from there to meet Alex at the College. It was very exciting waiting for Rachael to arrive with her Father and see the expression on Alex’s face as he saw her coming down the aisle. After the ceremony everyone walked through the town and down to the river for a drinks reception and then boarded some boats for the journey to The Perch restaurant and the reception. It could not have been a nicer day for a trip on the Thames and the hour long boat journey between the ceremony and reception was the perfect way to travel. As the boats purred up the river everybody ate sandwiches and had drinks as they looked around at the beautiful scenery. When we arrived at The Perch it was only a short walk to the garden and the marquee. Rachael and Alex had done a grand job of the decorations and everything looked lovely. The Perch restaurant is an ideal wedding venue right on the banks of the Thames and has many scenic walks along the river. After the wedding breakfast Rachael and Alex took some time out to enjoy the surroundings and spent some time alone thinking about how fantastic the day had been. Then it was time for the evening party. The music was from a brass band which went down very well with all the guests who partied hard until it was time to go.
