Wedding photographer Turvey House – Pavi & Gurpreet
Wedding photographer Turvey House – by Jinjabird. Wow what a fantastic time I had recently when I spent the weekend with Pavi and Gurpreet photographing their wedding at the Sikh Gurdwara in Bedford and Turvey House. The day was as energy fueled as it was colourful and I don’t think I can remember a wedding that was so full on. It was a very early start but when I arrived everyone was up and ready to leave for the temple. Pavi looked absolutely amazing and it was so exciting to photograph her. When we got to the Gurdwara Pavi was hidden away before Gurpreet arrived with his entourage. After an exchange of gifts everyone entered and the ceremony began. There was some enchanting music and drumming followed by prayers and hyms. Afterwards we all travelled to Turvey House for the wedding reception. I had never been to Turvey House before and was very impressed by this stunning country house with beautiful lawns and gardens. It is a wonderful location to hold a wedding and for the whole day there was not a cloud in the sky, the weather could not have been better. The wedding breakfast was held in a huge marquee set in the grounds under an enormous cedar tree with views across the meadows and down to the river. As always like other Sikh wedding receptions that I have photographed the music was accompanied by drummers. I just love drums – very exciting. Pavi and Gurpreet had a very impressive looking wedding cake and Sat at their top table on two thrones. When dinner was finished the dancing started and didn’t stop until it was time for Pavi and Gurpreet to leave. Fantastic day, one I will remember.
